What We Fund

We believe that profound good has many overlapping foundations: innovation, creativity, compassion, and stability.

We fund nonprofit agencies in Bandera, Bexar, Comal, and Kendall counties that create profound good in two ways: caring for vulnerable populations and cultivating vibrant communities.

OUR FUNDING FOCUS

Cultivating Vibrant Communities

We invest in organizations that promote artistic, cultural, and natural resources including the performing arts, museums, libraries, parks, zoos, and land preservation.

Caring for Vulnerable Populations

We support organizations that provide essential resources to individuals and communities facing hardships and offer them opportunities to thrive.

Within these funding areas, we have targeted program categories:

AGING ADULTS

Kronkosky funds efforts that ensure dignity for seniors by providing for basic needs, care, and opportunities to remain healthy and active.

(We fund food security programs only if they target seniors).

Grant consideration deadline:
June 2, 2027

ARTS & CULTURE

Kronkosky funds programs that create access to the best in humanity including music, visual art, theater, literary arts, museums and libraries.

Grant consideration deadline:
February 4, 2026

CHILDREN & YOUTH

Kronkosky is committed to the prevention of child abuse and trafficking, care for victims of abuse, foster care programs, and parent education. Kronkosky also supports character development and enrichment for children and youth.

(We do not fund academic education programs).

Grant consideration deadline:
June 3, 2026

HEALTH ISSUES

Kronkosky funds care and support for specific medical issues: mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and cancer.

Grant consideration deadline:
February 3, 2027

INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES

Kronkosky funds programs and services that improve the quality of life of individuals with disabilities including those with hearing or vision loss.

Grant consideration deadline:
October 8, 2025

NATURE & ANIMALS

Kronkosky funds efforts to preserve land for public use and conservation of green spaces. We also support the protection and care of wildlife and domestic animals. 

(We do not fund general environmental work.)

Grant consideration deadline:
October 8, 2026
