Autism Community Network

Recognizing the need for expanded availability of autism diagnostic and treatment services, the Foundation spearheaded an effort to bring together a group of healthcare funders to address the issue. The result was the establishment of a new nonprofit organization, the Autism Service Center of San Antonio dba Autism Community Network. The primary goals are to “provide early, high quality, interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment for young children with autism spectrum disorder; education and training for autism service providers and families touched by autism; and comprehensive information and networking for the autism community.” The Center opened its doors in 2009. To date, the Foundation has devoted $4.7 million to this initiative.
